50% off Grandparent shoots

Imagine having someone who loved you unconditionally, loved to be silly with you, sat down at your level and played with you, cuddled you when you were sad, reassured you of the uncertainty of the world but assured you they would always be there for you, loved you even though you were naughty, loved you when you were at your best, supported you no matter what and spoiled you like the little princess you are.

Imagine you were lucky enough to have a best friend in your grandma! xoxo

Monkey Business

I started divulging into the wonderful world of food photography and boy what a pleasure it has been. I couldn't believe how much fun it could be to sit around and shoot a very STILL image. To my surprise the creativity and colour and set up involved was beyond what I had imagined.
This beautiful creation was designed by my good friend - professional baker Rachel Lye. Her creations have always taken my breath away, but this masterpiece truly tugged at my heart. It was designed for my "future-Nephew" at my sis-in-laws baby shower. I simply said to Rachel, make a cute little monkey cake - NEVER in my wildest imagination would I have dreamed up this masterpiece. She blew me away with her creativity and talent - then I thought, would I have expected anything less from this creative individual?? Not, at all! she is incredible. Thank you Rachie! xoxo

A future Movie Star???

My little man had his first round of headshots. He was accepted into an agency that supplies commercial shoots and magazine print ads with little monkeys. I am so excited to possibly see his little face in an ad one day. His super easy going personality and sneaky smiles are a sure bet.

Love him.

......Not much longer to go! Anticipating the grand opening.

The H Family

Baby Numero three on the way.....This family is extra special to me as it is my husbands brother's family. Little R and N are adorable little kids who loved the camera - especially little N (just like his daddy). Baby is expected to arrive late August and we cannot wait to meet him.

I am happy to report that the walls are all done - electrical is in and now I am working on the painting and flooring. I cannot wait for the grand opening of the studio. It has been long anticipated but I am so excited for all the work to be complete and to start shooting again in my own studio. There will be plenty of sales, new promotions, more props to chose from as well as new albums and other options to chose from. I cannot wait! can you tell?!!!!

A&G Engagement Session

After many conflicting schedules we were finally able to connect on a beautiful sunny evening to take engagement photos for A&G. The weather couldn't have been better and the location really suited the personality of the couple & their adorable pooch! This dog is a very important part of the couples lives and I thought it was amazing how they wanted her in the pics. She was soooo good and such a treat to photograph. I love the shots of her peaking over the couples shoulder - too cute! perfect moment of the day.

Baby T is ONE!

This adorable little fella kills me with his suave personality. I just love the expressions on his face and how he plays it so cool for ONLY BE ONE! He is gonna be a very popular boy as he grows up with the ladies. Just adorable!

R Family Photos

I have had the pleasure of taking pictures of this family twice now and both times were an absolute blast! There is nothing better then connecting with a family when you are taking their pictures. I couldn't believe how big little N had gotten after seeing him when he was only a few weeks old the first time. Big sis was a blast to be around, as always. She lights up a room with her brilliant personality and high energy.

What a beautiful family! Very easy to take pictures of and a treat to be around.

We are framed and on the way....

After a week and a half the studio is now completely framed! The electrical is going on this weekend and then drywall!!!! I am so excited about the progress and cannot wait for it to be up and running, finally!

Brian is the brains behind the operation working very hard to do a spectacular job of the room. I have to introduce his dog Lucy - she comes to work with him everyday and she has simply lit up our lives. My kids go nuts for her! she is the most well behaved, chilled and adorable doggie I have ever seen. She is a beautifully natured and well loved girl. I rarely see her leave Brian's side, it is so adorable. I decided to capture a few pics of her to post on my blog and was soon introduced to a very coy side of her. She would turn her head and shy away from the camera - the pic posted is the closest I could get to her adorable face. Just love her!

Will keep you posted on more studio updates.

Newborn shoots

Parents are always curious as to when the best time is to bring their newborn baby in for their first photo shoot. In the past I was suggesting the first 3 weeks of life, however my opinion has now changed. In order to achieve the easiest and cutest shoot, I suggest parents bring their baby within the first 4 days of life. I, being a parent myself, understand that this isn't always as easy as it sounds, especially for those that are new to parenthood and a little nervous about bringing their baby out of the house for the first month. Here is why I suggest this. Within the first 4 days of life babies have a bending and flexibility that slowly is lost as they get bigger. At this time babies will sleep through most of the shoot (a photographers dream!) as well as won't be hesitant to kick out their legs or want to be picked up and cuddled. They are content being cuddled up into a basket or prop and love to be curled up into a tiny little ball - which offers the parents priceless photos.

The photos taken here were with a baby who was 4 days old and the shoot was quite successful!
